Colombia is the third largest producer of Arabica coffee. Twenty-two of the country’s thirty-two departments produce coffee. In 2011, UNESCO declared Colombia’s coffee-growing region a World Heritage Site. The region of Huila, where this coffee comes from, is one of the most renowned coffee-growing areas in Colombia. Located in the southeastern part of the country, Huila comprises around 35 districts dedicated to coffee cultivation, with approximately 84,000 families farming over 1,145,000 hectares of coffee. In the cup, this coffee presents a fine and elegant crema. From the first sip, a pronounced acidity emerges also due to the anaerobic processing method followed by fruity notes of raspberry and blackberry.
