Papua New Guinea is an independent state in Oceania, bordered by the Pacific Ocean. With a population of over 7 million, it is the second-largest state in Oceania after Australia. The country is mainly mountainous, with the highest peak being Mount Wilhelm at 4,509 meters above sea level. About three-quarters of the territory is covered by rainforests, which constitute a vast natural heritage. The climate is tropical with abundant rainfall. The population is mainly rural, and over 84% of the inhabitants live in rural areas. One of the primary sources of income is the export of coffee and cocoa. The Sigri plantation, located in the Wahgi Valley, has an excellent reputation for producing high-quality coffee cultivated at an altitude of around 1600 meters above sea level. Over 5,000 people are involved in carefully selecting each cherry and bean during the harvest season, conducting meticulous quality control from handpicking to the drying phase, to achieve a sensational balance of sweetness and acidity in the cup.
